Magnesium Deficiency Can Cause Insomnia

Whatever is the quality and amount of sleep a person can get from the previous night can greatly affect with his or her efficiency and performance in school or at work during the day. A person who is suffering from insomnia can suffer from poor performance, which can greatly affect his or her life. Insomnia is one of the most common sleep disorders. Insomnia is usually caused by stressful events, anxiety, extreme changes in the environment, and many other factors. This type of sleep disorder is characterized by failing to fall asleep after several attempts, and/or difficulty in staying asleep at night. People with insomnia or insomniacs usually don’t take their sleeping condition seriously, which is very wrong. Aside from being an important mineral for the proper functioning of many different internal organs, magnesium plays a role in energy production, which helps in the proper regulation of calcium, copper, zinc, potassium, vitamin D, and some other essential vitamin levels.
