Although, travelers usually do not experience jet lag when going to other countries with slight differences from their usual time zones. Jet lag usually happens to people who travel across the world and across several time zones. Jet lag can really affect a person’s mood, energy, and functionality when they arrive to their destination. There are several ways that can be done to help the body in adjusting faster to the new time zone or not preventing jet lag from happening.

  1. If you arrive daytime in your destination, as much as possible, do not sleep. Just wait for the night to come, and sleep as near as possible to your usual bedtime. And also wake up in the morning on your usual waking time. Never sleep in. This will just give your body a hard time in adjusting to the new time zone.
  2. Expose yourself to the sunlight during daytime. Light can send a signal to your circadian rhythm that it is daytime. This will also be very beneficial for your circadian rhythm. Even if you do not plan on going outside the hotel or your room, you can just open your windows or curtains, and let the sunlight enter your room.
