Chamomile essential oil has been proven to be effective in improving symptoms of sleep disorders, especially insomnia. Chamomile essential oil is not only used to improve symptoms of sleep disorders, it is also used by people who are suffering from other kinds of medical conditions, such as diabetes mellitus, pain in the stomach, and chamomile can even help in the management of addiction. Chamomile essential oil is effective in improving symptoms of insomnia, because, chamomile essential oil has calming and relaxing properties that can help in inducing relaxation and sleep. There are a lot of different ways on how to use chamomile essential oil, however, there are a lot of people wondering if there is a safe and allowable maximum number of chamomile essential oil drops that can be used.

The maximum number of drops when using chamomile essential oil varies as to which or how it is going to be used. Chamomile essential oil for sleep disorders can be used in different ways, which include:

  • Massage Oil
  • Bathing
  • Aromatherapy

Maximum Number of Drops When Using Chamomile Essential Oil for Sleep Disorders

Trying out all possible ways on how to use chamomile essential oil can be a fun learning experience. However, it is important that you will be able to use the essential oil correctly for you to experience and get the best results out of the essential oil. Since chamomile essential oils are so powerful in its pure form, it is best to dilute chamomile essential oil first before using.

  • Massage Oil – If you want to use chamomile essential oil as a massage oil to help in relieving sleep disorders, you will have to make sure that you will only add a maximum of 5 drops of essential oil to 10mL of carrier oil or lotion. If you think 5 drops of chamomile essential oil is too many, you can add 3 drops or maybe 2 in every 10mL of carrier oil or lotion.
  • Bathing – Getting a warm bath with relaxing chamomile essential oil can be a very effective way of relaxation. A maximum of 10 drops of chamomile essential oil is allowed to get the best relaxing results. After adding chamomile essential oil to the water, make sure that you stir the water vigorously to disperse essential oil evenly.
  • Aromatherapy – When you use chamomile essential oil for aromatherapy, which you use traditional burners or oil warmer, then you can add up to 3 drops of the essential oil into the warmer, and after, you can light a tea light candle underneath to help diffuse the scent. Using oil warmers for chamomile essential oil is one of the fastest and easiest way to enjoy the effects of chamomile, which can help in improving symptoms of sleep disorders.
